Brechje Schoenmaekers
Brechje Schoenmaekers is a student Japanology. She currently holds the Lustrum position in Tomo no Kai and combines this with the Student Council of her faculty. To relax she enjoys listening to music and playing the violin.

Josephine-Charlotte Leyman
Josephine-Charlotte Leyman, better known as Jace, is a Bioengineering student specializing in Agriculture. With a big heart for internationalization and traveling, she is the Local and National Director of IAAS for the second year in a row.

TREASURER
Ewout Buyck
Ewout Buyck is a student of the Historical Linguistics and Literature master with a bachelor’s degree in English and Swedish. He is event manager for Prometheus, an association for creative writing in English. He loves to learn languages and has a passion for games (ranging from board games to online ones).

Jana Dutordoir
Jana Dutordoir is a Belgian student who's currently in her final year of the Master of Science in Bioengineering Agriculture. She is the vice Local Director of IAAS and the president of the faculty student council StuBio. All these positions are combined with her passion for powerlifting.

Matthias Van Tichelen
Matthias Van Tichelen is a Belgian International politics master student. He was introduced to the IK through the member organisation Tomo No kai, of which he was president from 2020-2021. He likes global governance, globalisation, painting, boardgames, Japan and organising student life in Ghent.

Eline Eeckhout
Eline is currently in her last year of bioscience engineering. She got to know the IK through IAAS, of which she is the treasurer. She is passionate about internationalisation and student wellbeing, student association being a big part of that.

Marissa Vanhille
Marissa Vanhille is a Belgian Business Engineering master student. She is vice-president Incoming Global Talent of the international youth organization AIESEC.

The IK board exists out of the president Alireza Tootoonchian, the vice-president Eline Eeckhout, the treasurer Ferre Geirnaert and Public Relations Anaïs Bonnaffé

Alireza Tootoonchian
Alireza Tootoonchian is an Iranian Fire Safety Engineering student. He was introduced to the IK through ISAG, of which he was president as well. After being Vice-president of the IK last year, he is now our proud President.

Eline Eeckhout
Eline is a bioengineering student and was introduced to the IK via IAAS of which she was treasurer last year. She is passionate about internationalisation and the mingling of cultures.

Ferre Geirnaert
Ferre is studying to be a secondary school teacher in Dutch and English. He was introduced to the IK by Alireza, who is a close friend of his, and decided to take on the function of Treasurer to help international students have a wonderful time in Belgium.

The IK-central is in almost continuous contact through social media and slack but meets up often to work and/or enjoy themselves.

Anaïs Bonnaffé
Anaïs is a Communication Science student. Before studying at UGent she lived one year abroad to gain a cultural learning experience. She was introduced by Alireza, the president to the IK, to join the function public relations.

The IK board existed of the president Youri Dinneweth, the vice-president Alireza Tootoonchian and the treasurer Celine Callewaert.

Youri Dinneweth
Youri is an industrial engineering student and was introduced to the IK through BEST. He became the president in 2018-2019 and was re-elected for 2019-2020.
